Not at all! Line dancing is perfect for complete beginners. Unlike partner dancing, you don't need any prior dance experience. We start with simple steps and build up gradually. The repetitive nature of line dancing makes it easy to learn, and our instructors break down each dance step-by-step. You'll be dancing along in no time!
No partner needed! That's one of the best things about line dancing - you dance in lines (hence the name) and everyone dances the same steps facing the same direction. It's perfect for people who want to enjoy dancing without needing to coordinate with a partner. Come on your own or bring friends - either way, you'll have a great time!
Not anymore! While line dancing has country roots, modern line dancing uses all types of music - pop, rock, Latin, disco, and even current chart hits. We teach classic country line dances like the Electric Slide, but also contemporary routines to songs by artists like Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Dua Lipa. There's something for every musical taste!
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely - jeans, leggings, or casual trousers work perfectly. The most important thing is footwear: leather-soled shoes or dance boots are ideal as they allow you to pivot and slide. Avoid rubber-soled trainers as they grip too much. Many dancers love wearing cowboy boots for that authentic feel, but they're not required!
Our line dancing classes will be held in Bath city centre, making them easily accessible for everyone. The exact location will be announced shortly. The studio will be accessible by public transport, and there are several public car parks nearby. When you register your interest, we'll keep you updated with location details as soon as they're confirmed.
We'll offer several payment options to suit different needs: drop-in classes for those who prefer flexibility, class passes (5 or 10 classes) for a better value rate, and monthly memberships for regular attendees. Payment can be made by card or bank transfer. Special introductory rates will be available when classes launch!
