Charleston Hen Party FAQs

Do we need to know the dances already?

Not at all! Our instructor will teach you everything from scratch. Even if you've never danced before, you'll be able to follow along and have a great time. The moves are broken down step-by-step to ensure everyone can join in.

Is the Charleston difficult to learn?

While the Charleston is a technical dance style, our instructors make it accessible for everyone! We start with basic steps and build up gradually. The emphasis is on having fun with the 1920s spirit rather than perfect technique. By the end of the class, you'll have mastered several authentic Charleston moves.

Should we dress up as flappers?

Absolutely! Flapper dresses, headbands with feathers, pearls, and fringe are all perfect for getting into the 1920s mood. However, make sure you can move comfortably - the Charleston involves lots of kicks and knee movements. T-bar shoes or comfortable flats work better than high heels for dancing.

Is this suitable for all ages?

Yes! We've had groups ranging from 18 to 70+ all enjoying Charleston together. The moves can be adapted for different fitness levels, and the emphasis is on having fun rather than perfection. It's a great activity for mixed-age hen parties.
